People helping people succeed

Compassion becomes powerful when we put it to work.

We bring people and communities together through care, connection, and the belief that every story deserves a future.

Who we are

Helping people move forward. Keeping community legacies alive.

Compassionate Concepts, Inc. is a nonprofit organization bringing people together around practical support, personal growth, and the preservation of community history.

Our purpose connects housing stability, mentoring and coaching, education and spiritual guidance, and support for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people and their families. Through the developing Kinloch Living Atlas and Legacy Walk initiative, we also seek to preserve the stories, photographs, and places that carry a community’s legacy.

We begin with listening and relationships. Our initiatives are taking shape alongside the people and communities they are intended to serve.

Coach Mary Ann Anderson

Coach Mary Ann Anderson believes people deserve to be seen for their possibilities, supported through challenges, and connected to opportunities to thrive. She founded Compassionate Concepts to bring that belief into action, drawing on her professional coaching background and experience supporting individuals, families, and communities.

As a former U.S. Census Partnership Specialist, Coach Mary Ann understands that partnerships are the heart of that purpose. Compassionate Concepts builds on collaboration with organizations, service providers, businesses, faith communities, government agencies, and individuals—each contributing strengths, relationships, and resources to accomplish more collectively.

Her vision embraces personal growth, housing stability, family connection, reentry support, and community preservation. The Kinloch legacy initiative and work involving Direct Connect Global are expressions of that broader purpose, with room for new initiatives as needs and partnerships emerge. Looking ahead, she envisions a Community Success Center where people can find encouragement, practical resources, and support to build their futures.
